Oneil Cruz expresa estar ‘al 100%’ ready

Durante el Festival de los Piratas este fin de semana, el infielder dominicano Oneil Cruz dijo lo siguiente sobre su recuperación: “Todo bien. Ya al 100 %. Todo se siente como se supone”.

Tras fracturarse el peroné izquierdo el 9 de abril durante un choque en el plato con el receptor de los Medias Blancas, Seby Zavala, el último paso que Cruz debía tomar para demostrar lo listo que estaba era deslizarse hacia las bases. Por eso, como parte de su proceso en la academia de los Bucaneros en la República Dominicana, Cruz se deslizó mientras veía acción durante partidos.

El intérprete del equipo de Pittsburgh, Stephen Morales, estuvo presente para esa etapa final. “Eso me preocupaba un poco también”, expresó Morales sobre ver a Cruz deslizarse. “Pero enfrentó el reto sin problemas. Fue como montar en bicicleta”.
